.... And then, after you remove the strut you might be able to pound it out
using a large socket as a drift. I don't recommend hammering good tools, but
I've done this more than once when other options were not available. Be sure
the socket aligns on the outer race and keep tool+bearing straight with each
other. With care, caution, and a delicate touch, it works just fine.
