'95 A6 Climate control & radio probs

Howdy all!

My dad's A6 has some problems. The climate control is
erratic. It turns on and off on its own and will only
blow full balst sometimes. The display only comes on
when it actually decides to work properly. When it is
blowing full blast, a decision it reaches on it's own,
there is no display. Any ideas!

We also get terrible AM reception with our aftermarket
stereo and the stereo monkey lads say that they can't
replace the speakers in the door because the are a
custom size. 

It's the little things like this that make me hesitant
to reccomend Audis to close friends. Things like this
don't bother me much, but my dad is about to trade the
car off rather than deal with these headaches!
