As for the coolant dump, the same thing happened to my 200tq last 
summer while climbing Senora pass in CA. I believe the plastic valve 
controlled coolant flow to the heater box. I bypassed it with a deep 
well socket and that worked as a temporary fix. You might try bypassing 
it to see if that solves the overheating problem.
