One thing to be aware of, if someone has relayed the
headlights on the car using a single relay for the low
(or high) beams, a dead relay would kill both lights.
That's one reason to go with individual relays for
each light (2 low, 2 high).

In an emergency, you could jump a wire or two from the
remote start post or alternator directly to the (low
beam) lights, bypassing the switch.  The lights would
be on all the time, but you wouldn't be grounded.
