Warning light still on...

Yes. That's 'really' a bulb out.
Get a friend to step on the brakes; don't forget the 3rd brake
light. Check turn signals. Check high beams and low beams (don't
pull the stalk for highs, that turns on BOTH filaments, making it
very difficult to see if a filament is out).
Auto-check will complain about it every time that bulb circuit is
used. Ie, if it's a brake light, it will beep every time you step on
the brakes. If it's a low-beam or high beam- every time you switch
to that beam. Etc.
Also, trailer lights will often cause auto-check to think there's a
problem.
If they're all fine- then the control module is bad. Unfortunately,
figuring out if it is the front or rear control unit will be
difficult- there may be a troubleshooting procedure for this in the
factory repair manuals.
