    I wish Audi the best of luck, but at the moment VAG are their own worst 
enemy.  I haven't seen ANY evidence that they're addressing the complaints 
we all to often see regarding poor dealer support and IMO unforgivable 
"stupid shit" failures.  Coil packs, airflow meters, window regulators, 
etc....

    The battery in my Miata (a '94) is factory original.  My ex's 99.5 Golf 
got a new one last year.  I frequently have to offer the seemingly 
paradoxical opinion, "Great cars, but I wouldn't buy a recent one!" when 
people ask how I like my 4kq.
