Well, I found the 17mm hex socket at AutoZone, as suggested by Eric Kissell. $8 for a set of three: 12, 14 and 17mm, 1/2" drive. They are made in Taiwan, the brand is "OEM Industrial: Tools for the professional" and are essentially big, chopped down hex wrenches with a socket wrapped around them, about 2.5" overall length. Not as nice as the Snap-On *for sure*, or the FACOM either I presume. Fingers crossed, I'll let everyone know if it works. I already feel a little guilty about not springing for the Snap-On, so I hope things don't go downhill from here.

Cheers,
