Hi all!!
Roy has a good point about the trannys on the 5KTQs!!
>From what I've heard and seem, they are virtually
bullet proof.
I friend of mine who also owns a 5KTQ revs and works
that tranny like no other.
Burning all 4 tires with the diffs locked and four
adults in the car and the tranny, with close to 200K
miles,if not more, acts as if nothing!!!
Later on, I came across a junked 5KTQ, stick shift,
and asked my friend if I should buy that tranny to
have it as replacement part just in case the one in my
car goes.
His response: If you buy it, I don't think you'll ever
get to use it!!
Take care all!!
