Vent on: driving 5 mph in a parking garage, I go over
a speed bump and *DOINK* rub-rub-rub-rub...WTF?
Bushings and nut holding control arm(?) missing;
passenger front snuggling with fender well.
For all that is good and holy, can I go 2 months w/o a
repair? (No.) At least it happended when/where it did,
and not at 80 mph on L.A.'s freeways!
THEN, I'm blocking a reserved space, and here comes
the owner! (she was nice and understood--wants me to
sue the speed bump people) Then the tow truck guy
thinks 'no way' thanks to L.A.'s typically too small
pkg garages. Driver's superpowers take over and he
does a temp fix so that I can drive the 5 mph to
wrench w/him following. (he got a good tip)
For F sake, the drama...So here are my list queries:
1. Are these expensive parts? I'm hoping it's just the
nut/bushings--do I need new control arms?! >:(
2. I recently got new strut bearings in 2 mos ago.
What other inspections should the wrench do whilst
he's there?
3. After this repair, will I need an alignment?
Vent off, and thanks for listening.
