early 2.2Ti intercooler

it is totaly different from all of the opinions that I read for this 
inercoolers until now. Also I switch to Lancia Kappa intercooler reacently, 
because the best thing that I saw for this type of coolers was that Some 
cooler is better than NO cooler.
So I'm little bit confused.. Is it right move that I swap my OE intercooler?
