....I guess chivalry really is dead..........you must not live in the
South either....
as far as the fuel pump goes, turn the key to the 'on' position, but
don't crank the engine. get out and listen by the rear wheel well, or
better yet, open the trunk and listen in there. the fuel tank is
below the floor in front of the rear wheels, and the pump if I'm not
mistaken is submerged in it. Won't be quite as noticable if the tank
is nearer full than empty. If you can hear the fuel pump....will
sound like an electric motor hum or buzz....then I'd start looking
elsewhere, possibly at fuel filters, and then under the hood for
coil/ignition issues.
