>From the posts I have seen on AudiWorld, avoid any kit made by Meyle. It
seems that they last only around a year or so, and then need replaced again.
The Lemforder or Febi/Bilstein kits seem to be much better.

Subject: A6 suspension parts
Any recommendations for replacement kits (or parts) for the crappy OE front
suspension on a 98 A6?
There are 2 kits listed on E-bay that are $100 apart ($399 vs $499). The
higher priced kit has free shipping but that only accounts for ~ $20 in my
case.
The $399 kit is from Foreign Car Parts LLC and made by "Hamburg Technic"
and
"German Made".
The car in question is my wife's 2.8 daily driver with 130k on the clock,
and even lesser quality units will probably outlast the car.
Any recommendations for sources etc. greatly appreciated.
TIA
