4kq turn signal issues

Bernie,

The relay is behind the Instrument cluster and sometimes can be accessed via
the little vent on the right side of the cluster cover - otherwise you need
to remove the cover. First, check the hazard switch - diddle the connector,
spray contact cleaner inside and work the switch. Usually I have found bad
contacts in the switch or at the connection make the hazards and/or trun
signals operate very flaky.

Turn signals and hazard on these cars tend to do wierd things every so often
and everything need to be right - grounds at the rear, all bulbs working and
tight in sockets, switches, all need to be in good working order.

Went to work today, everything's fine. On the way home from work, notice
the turn signals no longer work the way they did. Flip the lever, get the
familiar double arrow, but no blink. From the outside, no turn lights come
on either. Hazard switch similarly (mal) functions.

Checked fuses, none seem bad. Where is the relay that flashes those things?
Could it be bad? What else could cause this, bad column switch? Any btdt?

Thanx!
