4000 Door Handle Issue...

Go figure a older Audi w/a door handle problem?  I thought my handle broke
so I replaced the lever and I still have the same problem.  It seems the
throw rod that pushes down when the door lever is pulled is too short.  It
just needs a little extra leverage.  Is there any adjustment in there to
make the rod longer/push further?  In my old 5k the rod had a ball and
socket setup where you could easily change the leverage/throw.
