Hydraulic reservoir cap leak

Is the question that you are losing Pentosin?  It seems
to me that a leaking cap would be easy to diagnose. Just
fill the reservoir, then clean the area around the cap.
Check back in a few days for a leak. Talcum powder will
help show any leak.

You could also clean around other joints/connections
and check them for leaks, too.
