Be aware that there was a running change around 95-ish
that removed even the dipstick tube from the tranny, so
the dipstick won't help. I found this out (luckily, not
the hard way!) on my '95 A6QA. I'm not entirely sure how
to determine whether you have the tube.

Hairy green toads from Mars made Max Wellhouse say:
> The Dipstick is brand new, cost me about $40 with shipping and if you
> are even slightly curious as to the fluid content of your 100CS
> automatic tranny ATF level, you'll be surprised to find that $30k
> dollar vehicle(in the early 90's) didn't come with an AT
> dipstick. I guess they figured the seals would last forever just
> like they thought the ATF would. Buy the manuals,, and I'll thorw in
> the dipstick other wise $25 shipped to the lower 48 from 506 DM&FS
