Subject: 4kq clutch failure?
My wife backed her 4kq out of its parking space today and when she went
to
drive forward, the car would shift into gear, at least by the feel, but
when she let the clutch out, there's just a whirring noise and no
movement.
I drove this car a couple weeks ago and noticed nothing unusual like
slippage or noises. She's noticed nothing different in the interim.
Would this be a failed clutch? I'm pretty sure it's not the gear shift
linkage. In neutral with the clutch out there's no unusual noise. The
whirring noise only occurs when the clutch is let out and the gear shift
is
in a normal gear position. Same thing for all gear positions.
