deal? 90 200

OK, the automatic is definitely what I'm most worried about, but from what
I understand the car was meticulously maintained, and he will have the
service records available for my inspection, and he told me I could take it
on a thorough road test. Price is firm, though, he turned down $1200 cash
today.

Now the two strange questions, both of which basically involve my guessing
the automatic will last a couple of years, then may fail.

I looked through car-part.com to see if any automatics were available in
the event mine failed. Some were, and it seems to indicate an automatic
from a 89-91 Audi 90 2wd would also work. I have a good manual
transmission from a 90 Audi 90, it didn't fit my 89 Audi 80 because the
CV's were larger on the 5 cyl 90 transmission as opposed to the 4 cyl 80
transmission (as well as some internal parts related to the diff, so I
couldn't just swap the stub shafts.) So would in be possible to swap in a
manual transmission in a couple of years, say? I would need a pedal
assembly, clutch master cylinder, and a shift linkage, right?

Strange question #2. I have a 82 Coupe, non functioning engine (fuel or
electrical problems.) Would be able to swap in the turbo engine and engine
management from the 90 200 into the 82 Coupe once the automatic dies. I
don't need the whole parts breakdown (like I know I'll need a tie rod, a
flywheel and clutch, some factory air intake parts {Ben Swann,} and exhaust
work,) just the overall feasibility (like this year motor won't work at
all, you need a pre 90 motor, something like that.)
