Team Doorhandle moves to America

Team Doorhandle has moved to America.

There's a 2006 Charger Magnum wagon in front of my office (No, I am not 
leaving the Audi fold, the Magnum is involved in an estate) and guess 
what - there is only ONE door lock on the car - driver's door. All other 
doors AND the tailgate are controlled by the keyfob remote or the 
switches inside the driver's door.

And guess what happens when the remote goes bad (this one already has, 
at 18,000 miles) and something happens to the driver's door lock 
mechanism? Locked out of your own car . . . this is the revenge of team 
doorhandle!

Oh yeah, by the way, guess where the battery is? In the trunk!

(Did I mention there is a $25K loan on a car worth perhaps $18K - maybe?)


Old Audis are looking better and better . . .
