Agreed. The Viton will serve you longer, and won't break down and leak like their predessors (sp?)

I'm coming into this thread late, but Viton is a trademark for a kind of rubber that is very resistant to chemicals, has better elasticity, etc.
Not sure if that makes a difference, ie, if they are different shapes as well- but if they are the same shape, Viton will last longer.
