P21/5W has a higher internal resistance and draws less amperage than the 
1034 bulb. Personally, in any circuit that checks resistance or amperage, I 
never use "substitute" bulbs. If it's a necessity, I replace all of them in 
the circuit because, as a general rule of thumb, the circuit checks the 
delta (difference) between each other, as opposed to checking the actual 
resistance or amperage of each individual bulb or branch of the circuit.
