HELP: 95 A6 Audi Q A CHANGE Tranny Fluid ?

and there is a drain plug in the bottom of the transmission pan and a fill
plug in the side of the pan. A little fluid should come out of the fill plug
hole while in park, idling, and warm. Procedure in the manual depends on the
OBD system to read ATF temperature during warm up. If fluid does not start
to drip out in the temp range then you add fluid thru the fill/check hole,
requires a pump of some sort."
My 95.5 A6QA requires Dexron 3. I was meticulous in researching it, looking
in the Bentley, calling the dealer with which we deal on a daily basis here
at the shop, and discussing it with the ZF authorized rebuilder from which I
bought the replacement tranny. I believe the change to have been in 96 or
97. First step is to run the tranny code by someone who actually knows the
answer.
BTW, you have to move fast when checking / adjusting the fluid level, as the
trans passes out of that specified range rather quickly. John
