Farewell after 7+ years

I've had in my family (in order): Audi 4000CSQ, Mitsu 3000GT TT, Ford
Escort, Audi 4000CSQ, Audi 5000T, Audi A4Q, Ford E150, Audi A6Q, Mitsu
3000GT TT... I have also driven for extended periods of time virtually every
make and most models of other cars. I am not the avarage driver - I expect
more from a car, but with the exemptions of the 2 Fords, which were bought
for my business, you can see where my loyalties lay. I feel very lucky that
my first car was a 4000CSQ, which was bought by pure accident without much
knowledge of what AWD meant. You can see 2 3000GT Twin Turbo AWD cars on the
list - Audi unfortunately does not provide anything with enough muscle for a
reasonable price. But as cars go, I do think they have something special.
That is not to say that everything else is crap, but they do stand from the
crowd.

First of all comparing a 1993 90 to a 2005 Ford is totally comparing
apples and oranges.
Audi 90 1993 - Audi's lower line <--- 13 year old design/technology
---> 2006 Ford 500 - Ford's top of the line
Second, not to be mean at all, but some people don't see the difference
between Ford Pinto and a brand new AUDI S8, other than the size. Both
have 4 wheels and both will get you to and from your destination (most
of the time any way).
And if that's the way you look at a car than all the power to you ! (to
each their own)
And yet (at the risk of sounding arrogant) I will bet that:
1) My 1993 90 will outlast the 2006 Ford !
2) Through the life of the ford my 90 will be cheaper to maintain
and more reliable.
Personally I owned many cars from Chrysler,Honda, Chrysler,Mazda, Chevy,
Toyota, Mazda,Mazda, Honda, VW, BMW, AUDI, AUDI (more or less in that
order) and drove even more for work or pleasure. When I got my first
AUDI I realized what a car should be.....But that's just me and my
experience.
Perhaps I am lucky with my AUDIs (90, A4 so far) :-)
Any how, good luck with your 500.
