>From what I can see, there is no cruise control vacuum pump in your
engine bay. As you stand in front of the car look on the right hand
side, next to the master cylinder. The red tab sticking out of the
firewall, which is where the vacuum pump would be if it was there. It
looks like the PO might have removed it somewhere along the way.

Subject: Coupe GT Cruise Control
Hi, list! New Audi owner here with an old Audi
question. Actually several.
Okay, I picked up my '87 Coupe GT about three months
ago and have been very slowly fixing things as time
(and money) permitted.
I went out the other day to have a look at my cruise
control pedal switches, since the CC doesn't work. I
had read Huw's excellent blurb on general CC revival
methods, and thought I'd take a look at the switches.
Well, I'm missing my clutch pedal switch! I thought
that was curious, so I looked more closely under the
hood, and I can't seem to find anything that resembles
a cruise control system. I also can't find any
pictures of what the two-part (pump and actuator) Audi
CC system looks like.
Maybe you guys could take a look? Do I have cruise
under my hood? I'm not crazy! I have the control stalk
and two brake pedal switches... I have an
On/Off/Resume switch and a Set button.... But no
clutch pedaln switch and no Bar Of Death???
I snapped a pic of my engine compartment... careful,
it's big: 1.8MB..

Thanks in advance, all!
