Seattle parts

Campbell-Nelson in Edmonds/North Seattle. I haven't used them recently,
but picked parts from them quite a bit in the early '90s (I have an '88
80Q). Seems I've heard they're big into VWs now.

There's also a second-hand parts guy/wrecker that I found from this
list whose name escapes me at the moment. I can look him up when I get
home if nobody else remembers the name; I thought he was in California. I
bought an entire front bumper assembly from him. It arrived safely, well
packaged, and was in the condition described over the phone. Anyone
remember who this could be?

When all else fails, I go to Barrier here in Bellevue and have them
track down new parts. If they don't have it or can't order it, they
search through all the Audi shops and then hook me up with the seller. I
tracked down an exhaust header (can you believe they don't make an
aftermarket sport header, you have to find the rinky dinky OEM piece?)
this way and ordered it over the phone from Boston. The downside with the
walk-in method is that the other gold-chain customers tend to look down
their noses at my "old technology" jalopy, but the parts guys more than
make up for that attitude with their service. And too, sometimes I just
use the phone &:-).
