Hi,
Thought I'd update this situation. I got a few pieces of the puzzle
together and talked to the owner this morning.
Our conversation started with him telling me that he didn't want anyone
working on the car in front of his house. He mistook me for someone who
told him over the phone that he could fix the car in front of his house in 2
hours. Hmmmm. Doesn't the tank have to be removed, drained, evacuated of
fumes in order to start this job?
My plan is to tow it to a wrench who will fix it properly; that is, if I
like the car enough to go to the trouble after I see it.
Thanks again for those who contributed on this.
Cheers!
Jim Jordan
