Alternate Compressors on a Type85?

I don't know for sure what would clear what but I have an Intro Manual for
the 1988 80/90 cars and it illustrates and describes an external oil cooler
on the 2.3L engine. It has the oil thermostat/oil filter housing and lines
mounted just like the later single oil filter MC engines. The 88 90 engine
sitting on jack stands in my driveway does not have an external oil cooler.
Anyone want a 2.3L Audi engine?
Jim
