Of course, car care online can easily delve into a flame war of "my stuff is
better than your stuff."  I'd hope THIS list is mature enough to avoid it.

Personally, I use a California brand silicone squeegee (blade).  I think
it's easy to clean and inspect.  Much more so than chamois or synthetic
cloths which can more readily trap particulates.  That, and the "blade" is
quite fast.  I'm lazy, and it works.

Besides, we're talking about a theoretically clean car, just washed, with
maybe just some suspended solubles (in the surface water) and airborne
dust.  Really, I think most any reasonable drying technique is safe if
properly applied.
