Makes me wonder: aren't early airbags designed for a 15 years life span
? And what was the first year Audi offered airbags in its cars ? 1991 I
guess...
So this makes sense, they want to check your car's airbag to be sure it
is still operational. A car designed for airbags has different seatbelts
than a car without, and it is more dangerous to have the "stretchable
seatbelts" without a functioning airbag.
