I had a carburated Porsche 911 that had a bad casting on the intake
manifold so that it would leak (air?) when it warmed up. It burned holes
in the pistons of one bank twice before they figured out what it was. They
put it on the bench, plugged its ports, filled it with fuel and then
heated it up until the fuel ran out through the casting.
