One of the biggest reasons why aluminum hasn't found its way into cars as 
much as bikes is that aluminum can't be formed with the same stamping 
techniques as steel can.  Forming aluminum into body panels takes newer and 
more expensive techniques.  Thats why only the A8 is made entirely of 
aluminum, the added cost is worth the weigh savings in that big of a car.
