3650RPM at 80mph?

My mom has one too. I believe that's about right.  Its a 4-speed, and 
frankly, not a great one. In the dictionary next to the word 
"lethargic" is a picture of that transmission.

If you question whether its shifting to 4th - drop it to 3rd (at a bit 
lower speed, please) and see what happens.

But if you think about it, 3650/80 puts redline at about 135-140 mph. 
About right to achive top speed at the power peak.  And that motor 
needs a power peak to hit high speed :-)  You could also read the 
manual for the ratios and do the math.
