looking for audi 5000 lock rod

Does anyone have access to a right-front lock rod for an Audi 5000? This is the rod that connects the lock tumbler in the outer door handle to the lock in the door.
 
I actually ordered this from the dealer and for some reason, the part seems to be a new design or something. The bottom of the rod is bent the wrong way, so now the only way it will work is if I remove the white plastic cover over the lock mechanism. I compared it to the left side and it's a mirror image except for the last bend.
