Wow, that's harsh.  But it's true.  I wouldn't even pay that much for a
Turbo non-Q automatic.

If you can't get the price down by several hundred dollars and if this is
not the World's Cleanest '88 5KS, I would take a pass on it.  As cobram
says, you will have many of the same maintenance headaches and expenses and
little of the enjoyment to compensate for them.  Unless this is a *really*
nice car, and I mean nice beyond just "cherry" -- and in that case, you
should buy it and seal it up in plastic for 100 years and not let a new
driver put their hands on it.  After World War V you can sell it back to the
apes as an example of advanced personal transportation.  ;)
