Quattro left me sit, won't go into drive

Just re-read your post, Tony. Missed the  "automatic" note at the end. 
....bleery-eyed this early in the morning......The advice about flatbedding 
might still apply, but my experience is not with the automatics.

Anyhow, it might be a linkage problem that can easily be fixed in a few 
minutes with a replacement part....or not  We can hope.

The advice about flatbed insurance (State Farm....about 4 bucks a 
year....huge bargain) is a little late for this one, but it sure helps me 
when I need it. You call a service of your choice, pay the bill, and submit 
it to your agent. So far they haven't questioned any of my many 
requests.....two or three a year.
