Where is paint color number located?

1990 Audi 80 Black

I want to fix the many paint chips that have accumulated on the front of the
hood. Where do I find the label showing the paint number? I don't believe
there can be too many blacks in the 1990 Audi paint scheme.

Can you recommend a good paint/application method that isn't too labor
intensive?
