OT: E-mail spoofing and how to prevent it

I know, I know, I'm replying on-list...

One thing you *can* do is set up a filter on your email program, since 
this particular junk mail has a predictably definable field.  The 
drawback of filtering these to trash is that if you ever have a *real* 
undeliverable email, it will also get junked.  But how often does that 
happen, really?

Also, are they using the entire address, or just random stuff @ 
5000tq.com?  That can be another way to filter successfully.

Time may also heal this wound, although most spam appears to be 
pointless, someone out there somewhere *is* trying to make money, and 
may eventually stop using your email address as the "reply-to" field.

What may be a drag is getting blacklisted by some of the big ISPs if 
someone is generating a huge amount of junk "in your name."  Not sure if 
they still do that or if they have become more sophisticated.
