Seriously, in an emergency, in the middle of nowhere, I'd go for:
A rubber patch with rubber cement (tire cement) (all service stations would
have).  Go over patch with larger hose, then clamp.  The hose is shot
anyway, so a little vulcanizing patch won't do any harm at this point.

You HAVE to replace the hose.  The pump is expensive and hopefully can be
saved with frequent stops.  Flush the generic fluid out ASAP.
