Personally for a C6 A6:
I'd change the taillights to the Euro-spec units that have amber turn
signals, then recode for
Euro-spec taillights and rear fog specification.
I'd enable the remote window-up/down and sunroof open/close feature which is
not normal
for US coding.
I'd change the transmission coding to the Euro-spec which is more
aggressively tuned and shifts
faster.
I'd get the Euro-spec projector housings for a proper Euro-spec beam pattern
(I hate the DOT flat
pattern).
Which specification did they get- does it have Advanced Key? Navigation?
Sport/S-Line?
I hope your local dealership is good, because these cars are so complex that
if you have any problems,
it's really no fun getting them resolved. The D3 A8s seem to have a lot of
issues relating to MMI.
One point of advice- be very very very very careful that you do not spill
any liquids from the cupholder
into the MMI- that causes all sorts of electrical problems. Very bad that
Audi put the cupholder where
it can cause critical damage to a car.
Also, if the car has the adaptive air suspension, you can code it to be
lower and stiffer than what is available
via MMI.
Sweet cars- did they get the sedan or the Avant? The new Avant is by far the
largest wagon out there- it's absolutely
huge, kind of like the type 44 Avants.
