OK?
**** No, I did not do any more work on the electric motor.
1. The brush electrical 'tails' are crimped and soldered - bit of a job to
get them out.
2. I couldnt find replacement brushes . . the hints and leads in the
archives proved fruitless.
3. The armature was badly worn down in the center. I'm not sure how much
more useful life I could get out of it if I turned the armature to remove
the wear grooves.
4. Someone mentioned that after all the work to get the old motor out, it
didnt seem to be worth the effort to put in a 'fixed' motor with a suspect
life span.
5. I bought a new motor/fan assembly . .and its still in the box. The
original "cleaned" motor is still running. I'll replace it when it finally
dies . . .. which will not happen now cause Murphy is a chit.

**** The motor is assembled via crimped and peened sheet metal parts.
I'm looking at the motor now. I guess one can remove the peened tabs using a
dremel tool to clean up the peened ends and take it apart.
The plastic fan cage needs to be pulled off the shaft to get at the front
bearing -- that should be fun.

**** I went to all the local sources mentioned in the archives, looking for
brushes . . .they dont have jack chit.
