4kq: Wierd oil temp behavior/ *classic* audi humorousness!

Tony, that factory ground you replaced, is it the one
connected to the - battery terminal running to the
engine block/tranny bell housing? 

#2 gauge wire?

I also installed a 5KCS nonQ, nonT oil cooler in my
'87 QSW, and like you said, it bolts right on.

BTW, at what temperature does the thermostat open up
in that cooler, anyone?

Also, did you recall the oil temps before you
installed the cooler in your 4KQ, Tony?
