Does the 10vT exaust stud hell apply to non-t as well?

Hi Cody!!
Yes, you can expect to probably break 1 stud or nut
for that matter if you've been soaking them with PB
blaster for about 3 days.
When I removed the exhaust manifold in my red VW QSW,
I broke 1 stud and 1 nut, granted I didn't really
spray them before hand.
I was told to consider myself lucky, especially for
the 5 sutds/nuts connecting the exhaust manifold to
the 3-tube downpipe to the cat.
I whish I could say the same thing about my '85 QSW
clutch job....damn pilot bearing!!
