96 A6Q Avant, what's it worth?

Eric, I'm a dealer so I can tell you what manheim market numbers are, as
well as black book. Here they are:

Manheim Market Report (MMR)
Below: $1,200 (166k miles)
Average: $2,400 (126k miles)
Above: $3,600 (86k miles)

Blackbook
Rough: $2,250
Average: $3,750
Clean: $5,150

These numbers are real numbers, ie: these numbers are what checks are being
written for these cars...not some crazy KBB value. I love it when people are
trading in a car, I give them a number and they want Kelly blue book value.
My simple answer, tell KBB to write you a check for that :-) I sell cars
for a living, and I never even ask close to KBB prices. Still a mystery to
me. Anyhoo...this is just some current market info and my $.02 worth!

I would tend to agree with you...a well sorted out Avant wagon with around
100k miles (good miles considering age) will definitely bring $4,500 on the
used market, possibly $5,500 to $6,000 for the right piece. From my
experience, Avant Quattro wagons are very popular among us Audi enthusiasts.
If it's a stick shift, call me...I may want it!
