Yeah, I got lots of ideas . . .most of them are spelled SHORT.
1. Do you know When the fuse blows?
2. Do you know What you were doing when the fuse blew?
3. If you dont know the answers to the above two questions, then you need
some more troubleshooting.
4. Have you traced the circuit in the Bentley? What else runs off that
circuit besides the interior lights? Engine light? Trunk light? License
plate light? Glovebox light?

4. How about rigging up a small lamp, that is always visible to the driver,
to the #14 fuse circuit? Maybe a 12 volt LED.
When the LED goes out, you know the fuse just blew. You can analyze what was
going on at the moment the light went out.

Some odd things can blow fuses. For example, on the 5000/100 series, the
glovebox lamp sits in a plastic clip-on holder. The mounting tabs can break
off the holder. The holder can then move about a bit when the car is in
motion. The electrical contacts are exposed and can now touch the edge of
the metal where the holder is mounted. One touch of contact to metal, and
the fuse blows.
The only way I could finally narrow down the problem was to trace out the
circuit in the Bentley, and then look at each lamp/circuit mechanical part.
I spotted the dangling lamp holder in the glove box . . Eureka!!
