NAC battery question

A battery partyy!  BTDT.

Does this receiver take 12V in?  We were a bit different - a bunch of 
high-end audi designers who hijacked batteries to have the ultimate 
zero-noise, low impedance power supply.  Eight, count 'em, hooked in 
series.  Zap!

So the first question is - explain your setup and what power it is 
designed to run on.
