i did.. but saved your pan from WHAT!? are you rallying it? =) mines LOW
and in sf / tahoe and ive never whacked the oil pan [to my knowledge. ]

nice piece tho. love my dieselgeek shortshifter.

i have the w8 passat pan on my a4 - as said it's better vented, heaver
plastic and 55$ from ecstuning [i think audi gets about 2x that].

also on jacking points - the a4 is kind of a PITA to jack up. the trouble is
that you ideally have to jack and then support at the same point. ive read
lots of propaganda on not jacking on the subframes [goofs the alignment] a
arms, etc etc.

what i do is drive the car onto 2x4 blocks to get it up a smidge, then get
a jack in from the side at an angle to jack from as close to the pinch weld
/ jack point as i can while still leaving enuff room to get a jackstand
under the same spot.

i have a rubber pad on the jack and a few 2x4 blocks that i notched on 1
side to work as a jackstand pad [notch in 2/4 holds the pinch weld].

i recently saw that there was a dealer available jack pad for the passat
that works on the a4 - it sits inboard of the jack points slightly and was
just a round rubber bumper. apparently theres a plugged hole in the a4 that
is used for this on passats. that would be really handy. i think i saw it on
audizine or audiworld.
