[V8] Strut bearing failure? - Type 44

If you're getting this noise when turning and not when rolling straight,
I'd think it might be the CV joint rather than a strut bearing.  Could be a
wheel bearing too, but I'd think you'd have heard a howling sound long
before hearing grinding noises if it's a wheel bearing.  Could also be a
brake rotor shroud getting rubbed.

If the noise only occurs during the turning process (while you are
continuing to rotate the steering wheel) whether the car is rolling or not,
then I'd suspect the strut bearing.

If it's a grinding and only occurs while the car is rolling forward (or
backward) whether turning or not,  I wouldn't drive it until you have the
problem identified.
