Type 44 turbo to exhaust pipe repair?

Mike,

To do it right, the flange and downpipe need to be removed and
repaired(welding) or replaced. A fair days job, but fairly straightforward
although requires removal of CIS box and other things in the way. Don't try
to do this in situ as it will only result in wasted time and a mess.

I have a few downpipes in good condition if you need one. One is a re-welded
unit with some enlargement ground in. It would be a good time to inspect the
manifold for crack(s) - esp. between 3'rd and 4th runners. I have some of
these too.

Trying to get one more winter out of the old girl without major expense.

Mechanic friend doing repair/diagnosis.

It appears the exhaust pipe (original exhaust) has separated from the turbo
and there is nothing left of the 4 bolt pipe flange. Hard to get at and see
clearly at this point, so I'm looking for preliminary info before he starts
removing components to get in there.

Has anyone done this repair? I've used split flanges pre and post cat., is
there one for this application?
