Hot start problem 88 5kt automatic

Same problem has been experienced with one of my 5 cyl Passat for a 
while. Couldn't find the cause after checking all the mentioned 
possibilities, and only recently, when acquired the fuel pressure gauge 
to tune my new Ur distributor head, Decided to check the two Passats 
also, and the culprit was found immediately. It was split small "O" ring 
at very top of the pressure regulator plunger. Installed the repair kit, 
and problem gone. Try the same, since the kit is cheap and covers both 
types of the plunger seal. The kit # is: 035 198 691
