That's the sender that runs the light and the gauge. Should be the same on various models. You probably want to replace the low(or is it high?) pressure switch too.  It screws into the block right below this sensor.

  I am looking for the part number for the oil psi gauge sender on an 88-89 80q.  
I am putting the gauges into my 4ktq project and I have no idea what the sensor 
# is...
   
  Also I was hoping somebody might want to load that Audi race video onto a disc 
and mail it to me, I'd pay for a disc or even mail a disc and a return envelope 
to someone willing to take the time.  I can't load any programs off the interne 
on to the computer I use because it isn't esactly mine...
